AELM Session 1: Global Economic Outlook - Presentation by the International Monetary Fund (IMF)

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte listens to the presentation on the Global Economic Outlook by Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director and Chair of the Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), during the first session of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting (AELM) via virtual convention on November 12, 2021.

Aside from the priority discussions in the AELM, the High-Level event also highlights the Leaders and representatives of Economies – that collectively represent half of the global trade and 60% of the GDP – posing for a ‘family photo’ while donning a garment selected by the host nation.

APEC 2021 is hosted by New Zealand with the theme, ‘Join, Work, Grow. Together.’ Haumi ē, Hui ē, Tāiki ē’, that focuses on implementing economic and trade policies, increasing inclusion and sustainability, and pursuing innovation for COVID-19 recovery.
